The Foundry

The foundry was established by Jonathan Campbell in 1992 in Wellington, New Zealand

Here Jonathan uses the lost wax casting process. This method allows sculptors unlimited freedom and can reproduce detail as fine as a fingerprint. The process itself is full of history and has remained almost unchanged for thousands of years. Although concentrating mainly on his own work, Jonathan also casts for sculptors nation-wide, and works on council, corporate and private commissions.

The foundry has the capacity to cast any size work. Jonathan has received Creative New Zealand grants to study in large foundries overseas and has received several awards for his work.
